Back-to-school Weekend
Wilson’s Orchard — Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22-23
School is (almost) back in session, and Wilson’s Orchard is hoping to ease the pain with a special back-to-school bash this Saturday and Sunday. The end-of-season party will include balloon art and face painting from noon until 4 p.m., as well as the familiar fun of apple picking, trailer rides and apple-based goods to which Wilson fans are accustomed.
This weekend, the orchard will also welcome Solon native Jack Neuzil. An educator for over twenty years, Neuzil shares his love of nature and (homemade) prehistoric creatures with children in the community, constructing beastly figures — complete with moving parts — using wood and glued cardboard. Neuzil’s creations will be on display all weekend.
Wilson’s Orchard, described as part nature park and part orchard, has been cultivating family fun since 1980. The orchard is open daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. with tractor rides on the weekends.
