Nolte Academy Presents: Peter Pan
Coralville Center for the Performing Arts — Friday-Sunday, Aug. 14-16
Clap your hands, pack your bags and get ready to fly to Neverland this weekend with Peter Pan. Nolte Academy’s fifth musical production, which opens this Friday and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16, features a 20-piece live orchestra and aerial effects by Las Vegas’ Fly by Foy.
The 64-member cast brings to life the story of Peter Pan and his fairy companion Tinkerbell as they meet Wendy and her brothers, travel to Neverland and encounter the dangerous Captain Hook. Originally opening in 1954, the Broadway version of Peter Pan has become a family classic and features songs like “I’m Flying,” “I’ve Gotta Crow,” and “I Won’t Grow Up.”
Since opening in 2000, the Nolte Academy has built a reputation as one of the Corridor’s top competitive dance studios and recently expanded its curriculum to include voice, drama and visual arts.
The journey to Neverland lasts approximately two hours. Tickets are available through the Coralville Center of Performing Arts.
